Prepared main design-build contractor’s delay and disruption claim with additional associated costs for the Madina Centrale Project for The Pearl Qatar due to major changes in the structural and architectural design by the consultant and client. Testified concerning the validity of the delay analysis and the resultant cause-effect on the project completion date and the reasonableness and validity of the additional costs claimed by the design-build contractor.

Prepared main contractor’s delay and disruption claim with additional costs on two of The Pearl Qatar residential towers, Plots 20 and 21, due to change orders issued by the client for finished works. Testified concerning the validity of the delay analysis and the resultant cause-effect on the project contractual milestones and the validity of the additional costs claimed by the main contractor.

Prepared main contractor’s claim against employer for extension of time for completion with additional payment for the Dubai Maritime City Project. Prepared Statement of Claim for extension of time with quantum for time-related and non-time-related additional costs. The dispute concerned construction delays due to multiple reasons that were attributed to the employer, such as delay in review and approval of submittals, excessive variations, lack of access and obstructions to site, and delay in issuance of IFC drawings.

On behalf of an insurance carrier, prepared an expert report for a case before the Superior Court of Ontario pertaining to the cost of construction to complete a residence in Metcalfe, Ontario, Canada. Reviewed, analyzed, and commented on the plaintiff’s expert report. Developed an estimated construction cost analysis for the scope of work presented by plaintiff’s expert. Opined on whether individual scopes of work provided by the plaintiff were a part of the completion of the house or an enhancement of the house.

On behalf of the owner, performed an independent review of the contractor’s delay claim related to curtain wall design, procurement, and construction for a high-end residential tower project. Prepared an expert report presenting findings and conclusions regarding the delay issues for the civil claim before the Supreme Court of British Columbia.

Calculated $5 million in direct and consequential damages incurred by an owner due to the late and defective construction of a housing development.
